Adhesive Activation & Controlled Bonding | Women’s Woven Shoe Production

Adhesive Activation & Controlled Pressure – Sole Bonding Phase

In this stage, the previously applied adhesive is carefully activated and pressed using pliers. This process eliminates internal gaps and ensures full surface contact between the upper and the sole area.

Process Breakdown with Key Moments

00:00 – The bonded area is inspected before pressure is applied.

00:07 – Controlled pressure begins using pliers, activating the adhesive layer.

00:18 – Gradual compression removes internal air gaps between upper and base.

00:30 – Pressure is applied evenly along the surface to avoid stress concentration.

00:44 – Special care is taken in woven zones to prevent structural separation.

00:58 – Final pressing ensures uniform bonding across the contact area.

Why This Stage Is Critical

Woven leather is flexible and reactive under force. Excessive pressure can open the weave. Insufficient pressure can weaken adhesion.

Controlled activation ensures:

  • Secure surface contact
  • Structural stabilization
  • Balanced flexibility
  • Long-term durability

This step prepares the shoe for final sole assembly and structural locking.

All processes are completed fully in-house inside our footwear workshop.

Wholesale and private label manufacturing available worldwide.
