Heel Height Measurement & Controlled Lasting | Women’s Woven Shoe Production

Heel Height Control & Precision Lasting – Structural Accuracy Phase

In this stage, the upper is pulled onto the last and structural measurements begin. Heel height and alignment are critical for long-term comfort and stability.

Process Breakdown with Key Moments

00:00 – The upper is pulled firmly onto the last. Initial shaping tension begins.

00:10 – Heel height is measured using a tape measure.

00:16 – The rear height is set at 6 centimeters. Heel height is critical — too low and the shoe may slip off the foot; too high and it may cause friction or discomfort.

00:25 – After adjustment, a small positioning mistake occurs. A nail is placed on the visible collar edge. Correct placement should be slightly inside, at the hidden edge, to prevent visible nail marks on the finished shoe.

00:38 – Side panels are carefully pulled using pliers with controlled pressure. Because the upper is woven leather, excessive force could cause structural separation.

00:52 – The heel lining and heel counter area are secured gradually with controlled nailing. This prevents wrinkles and allows the internal structure to adapt smoothly to the last.

01:05 – The toe section is secured with nails, completing this phase of the lasting process.

Why This Stage Matters

Heel measurement defines posture balance. Nail placement affects finishing quality. Controlled tension preserves woven integrity.

This stage bridges structural preparation and final shaping accuracy.
